Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 4 August 2026

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for BillBook Business paid subscriptions. The Free plan is free — there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. Paid subscriptions (Premium and Premium Plus) bought on our website or web app are sold through our Merchant of Record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates, “Paddle”), so those payments and refunds are processed by Paddle on our behalf. If you subscribed inside our Android or iOS app through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, that store is the merchant of record for your purchase and handles its billing and refunds under its own policy (see “Google Play & App Store purchases” below). These are subscriptions for access to the BillBook software only; BillBook is not a marketplace and you do not buy or sell digital content through it.

14-day refund

If BillBook Business is not right for you, you can request a refund within 14 days of a purchase made on our website and it will be refunded in full — in line with Paddle’s Buyer Terms. The 14-day window applies to your first payment for a plan and to each renewal charge. Refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method, together with any tax collected at checkout. This money-back guarantee is in addition to any statutory rights you have (see below); in line with Paddle’s Buyer Terms, a refund may be declined only where there is clear evidence of fraud or refund abuse.

Cancel anytime

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it simply does not renew after that — you are not charged again. You keep your data and can continue on the Free plan or export everything at any time.

How to cancel or request a refund

You can cancel or ask for a refund from within the app, from the subscription-management link in your receipt email, or by emailing us at support@billbookbusiness.com — we will help either way. For a web purchase you can also manage the subscription at paddle.net; for a Google Play or App Store purchase, manage it in your Google or Apple account. Cancelling stops future renewals; on its own it does not refund a payment already made — use the 14-day refund above, or contact us.

Beyond the 14 days

We want you to be happy with BillBook Business. Even after the 14-day window, contact support@billbookbusiness.com and we will look at it fairly and quickly. We will always arrange a refund for:

  • duplicate or accidental charges;
  • a charge taken after you had already cancelled in time;
  • a renewal you tell us about promptly and had not intended, where you have not meaningfully used the new period; and
  • any case where a refund is required by law.

Beyond those, because a subscription gives you access to the full Service, refunds for time already elapsed on a started period are at our reasonable discretion. Approved refunds for web purchases are issued by Paddle to your original payment method; tax collected at checkout is refunded along with the underlying charge, where the law requires.

Google Play & App Store purchases

If you subscribed inside our Android or iOS app, your purchase was made through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, which is the merchant of record for it and handles billing and refunds under its own policy. Request those refunds through Google Play (“Report a problem” / “Request a refund”) or Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com), and cancel from your Google Play or Apple account settings. You are always welcome to email support@billbookbusiness.com and we will help you do so.

Your EU/UK right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from your purchase — separate from, and in addition to, the money-back guarantee above, which never reduces it. Because BillBook Business gives you access to the Service straight away, checkout asks for your express consent to that immediate access. Under Paddle’s Buyer Terms, which govern a web purchase, if you withdraw before you have started using the Service you receive a full refund; once you have started using or benefiting from it after giving that consent, the statutory right no longer applies to that charge. In practice this rarely matters: our 14-day money-back guarantee above already gives you a full refund within that window regardless of use, so you are covered either way.

Renewals

Monthly plans renew each month and yearly plans renew each year, at the renewal price shown to you before you bought, until you cancel. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date. Your renewal price is always shown before any charge is taken.
